When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via hashing). When you upload receipts, we process and store the document images and extracted data (vendor, amounts, dates, line items). We also collect basic usage data such as upload counts and plan status.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the DocuSpending service, including: processing receipt images with AI-powered extraction, displaying spending insights and analytics, managing your account and subscription, and communicating service updates.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. Receipt images are stored in private storage buckets accessible only by the account owner. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement row-level security to ensure users can only access their own data.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• AI Processing — receipt images are processed by AI models for data extraction. Images are not used for model training.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual receipts at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may export your receipt data via CSV at any time (Pro plan). To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
